At the point where Lake Constance again becomes the Rhine River, you will find the little town of Stein am Rhein.  It is famous for its well-preserved Old Town featuring painted facades and half-timbered houses, for which it received the very first Wakker Prize. Stein am Rhein is a unique gem and offers a wide variety of art, culture and outdoor activities. As colourful as the magnificent facades of  the Rathausplatz present themselves, as varied is the range of culinary delights and activities avaliable. With little more than 3.000 inhabitants, Stein am Rhein may well be a small village but it is remarkable for the concentration of well preserved medieval buildings within such a compact area. Shalom! Any land. Earth belongs to the nations of the world (which is why they're called the nations of the world). I don't belong to a State, anyone. I am a Jew!!! So G'd starts the Torah not with the first commandment, because the commandments are all related to the physical world and we wouldn't have been able to understand. G'd first had to warn us by telling us that in the beginning He created Heaven and earth. Heaven is not any more a place for G'd than is earth; the Heaven also were created by G'd. Thrusday, Av 21, 5779. August 22, 2019. Shalom! World. Obidos - Portugal. Obidos is the finest example of a Potuguese walled town, and isone of the best tourist destinations  of the Lisbon region. Obidos is a charming town to explore; there are narrow-cobbled streets, traditional painted houses, and an imposing medieval castle. The typical length of time in Obidos 3 hours. I suggest visiting early in the day, before the arrival of the coach tours, or to spend a night, which has recently become a popular option. The best method to travel to Obios from Lisbon is by the express bus.  The bus service departs from Campo Grande bus station. The journey takes just 1 hour. Shalom! Aleichem. I could argue that this a particularly good moment to visit Lisbon, and for a few paragraphs i will, though the truth of the matter is that i don't think Lisbon needs any recommendation beyond the blessed fact of it. It warranted attention and favor years ago and will warrant them years hence. As for now, well, there's a clear economic rationale. Times aren't flush, and Lisbon presentes a noticable price. It's faded imperial glory on the cheap: Western Europe marked down 20 to  30 percent. And Portugal's economic woes - it's currently in a fiscally austere league with Greece, Spain and Ireland - have in some sense unleashed a creative spirit among its people, who are taking chances, improvising and, as it happens, trying to boost tourism. Sometimes seems that you know everything and the city was over, but Warszawa is special, every time gets me a feeling that i am discovering a new city in each corner.
