WHY WE JEWS HAVE REJECTED "THE CRUCIFIED"

Image
Thrusday, Tishrei 4, 5780. October 3, 2019. Shalom! World. Why we Jews have rejected "the Crucified" as a messiah?  What exactly is the Messiah? The word "Messiah" is an English rendering of the Hebrew word "Mashiah", which means "Anointed". It usually refers to a person initiated into G'd's service by being anointed with oil. (Exodus 29:7, King 1:39, II Kings 9:3). Since every King and High Priest was anointed with oil, each may be referred to as "an anointed one" (a Mashiach or a Messiah). For example: "G'd forbid that I (David) should strech out my hand against the Lord's Messiah (Saul)..." (I Samuel 26:11. Cf. II Samuel 23:1, Isaiah 45:1, Psalms 20:6). Where does the Jewish concept of Messiah come from? One of the central themes of Biblical prophecy is the promise of a future age of perfection characterized by universal peace and recognition of G'd. (Isaiah 2:1-4; Zephaniah 3:9; H

Around 1.5 million people perished in the largest German extermination camp of the Second World War. A gruesome exposition in the former camp makes the visitors rethink their basic human values, such as humanity and dignity. One of the most active organisations is the Auschwitz Jewish Centre, which consists of an educational centre, a musem and a Synagogue that all not only commemorates the victims of Shoah, but which can also provide you w
