Sándor Steuer a member of a famous coffee-family opened the gem of the building the "most beautiful café in the world" on October 23, 1894. The ground floor café became the most splendid part of the imposing palace beside its windows with 16 devilish fauns - "El Ashmodai" the ancient figure of coffee and meditation - held the lantern in good style proping on Italian renaissance and baroque; its lavishly furnished interiors were designed in the spirit of historical eclecticism. Shalom! World. Entre avril 1990 et mai 1993, Jochem Gerz et les étudiants de L'École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de La Sarre (Martin Blanke, Christian H. Cordes, Yvonne da Grazia, Jens Freitag, Daniel Funke, Beate Miller, Gabi Raddau, Isabel Reichert) ont réalisé sur la place du Château de Sarrebruck, un Monument contre le Racisme . Au début du projet, il a été demandé à chacune des soixante six communautés juives des ex-allemagne de l'ouest et de l'est de fournir la liste de leurs cimetiéres en usage jusqu'à la dictadure Nationale Socialiste. De cette façon, une liste la plus complète à ce jour des cimetières juifs en Allemagne, a été établie.
