The Jerusalem Synagogue (JERUZALEMNKA SYNAGOGA) was built in the years 1905-1906. The synagogue is a interesting example of an Art Nouveau stylisation of a Moorish design.

The synagogue is a unique monument of Praha architecture of the beginning of the Twentieth Century as well as an example of synagogue architecture of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire.

Permanent Exhibitions

The new exhibibtion, "The Jewish Community of Praha from 1945 to the Present Day", presents the unknown post-war history of the Jewsih Community of Praha, using unique photographs and documents and documentary films. It captures key moments in the existence of the Jewish Community of Praha from the end of the World War II to the present day.



The permanent exhibition "Jewish Monuments and their Reconstruction after 1989" presents visitors with photograpic, graphic and audiovisual resources documenting the course of restoration and reconstruction of Jewish monuments administered by the JCP.


The exhibitions are organized by the JCP with funding from the Praha City Hall, Ministry of Culture, Czech Republic, the Jewish Community of Praha Foundation and WITTMANN Tours.

World.     The Jews and the Jewish Quarter in Worms The famous Synagogue in Worms is documented as early as 1034 AD. It is the centre of the Jewish quarter which, in the second half of the  10th century, adjoined the north east curve of what was then the "inner" town wall between the Kammererstrasse and the Barengasse. Jews form Worms were regular visitors of the trade fair in Cologne from as early as 1000 AD.
