JACOB JR, MY JEWISH WORLD. CAFÉ SLAVIA. PRAHA/CZECH REPUBLIC

Yom Rishon, Elul 26, 5777. September 17, 2017.

Shalom! World.

Café Slavia is a traditional cafe in the historical centre of Praha that offers Czech and international cuisine. The menu includes salad, fish and meal specialities. You can try our breackfast menu, which you can order from 08:00 am, when the Café Slavia opens.

The Café is aware of the history around; the National Theater, Charles Bridge and the Praha Castle. You can see these sights from your table enjoying a cup of hot coffee or a glas of good wine.

The Café Slavia offers these exclusive premises for holding various social events. Slavia are able to meet the wishes of even the most demanding clients. The capacity is approx. 500 seated when connecting all the facilities of Café Slavia, Restaurant Parnas and Restaurant Jihoceská.

Everyday between 17 hours -23 hours a professional piano player is on stage with live music. This programme is a rarity in Praha.

The Slavia is pleased that you suppport to create the atmosphere of "the café with a homely atmosphere" and let the "green illusion" of the Absinth Drinker picture take a seat beside you.

Could it be also your "cup of tea"? I know that you can't eat and drink from surroundings, however we are convinced that the good surroundings and atmosphere of  the Large Café Slavia are the reason that so many interesting and well-known people come to the Café.

The Café Slavia is the number one in Narodni trida street and not only by address. The locaation by the Moldau River and Narodni trida street makes it possible to observe the whole Czech history from the windows of Café Slavia. I don't mean only the view of the National Theater, Charles Bridge and the Praha Castle. History creeps round the windows (sometimes even floats on boats. From the same windows it was possible to view the laying of the foundation stone of the National Theatre on the 16th May 1868, see the funeral procession of T.G. Masaryk on 21st September 1937 or the procession of students during the Velvet Revolution on 17th November 1989. The guests list looks like a "who is who" of celebrities from all existing spheres.

I am sure that you will never forget each second expendid here.

Shalom! Aleichem.
