Villa Toscana, Gmunden/Áustria.



Villa Toscana in Gmunden am Traunsee in Upper Áustria is a castle villa built inn the 19th century. Together with the Little Villa Toscana and Toscanapark it forms na importante building ensemble. The property is located on the peninsula right by the Landschloss Ort and today's Toscana Congress Center. Villa Toscana was built between 1870 and 1877 in the middle of the  large park as a prince's residence of the widowed Grand Duchess of Tuscany Maria Antonie of Naples-Sicily. The real architect was the youngest of her tem children, Johann Salvator. The villa is executed in antique Greek style of a historicist post-classicism. Today it is used by Toscana Congress as a location for weddings and other events.



Toscanapark 
The formally landscaped 88,000m² landscaped Garden is characterized by a beautiful old stock of trees. In 1999, an Upper Austrian State Garden Show took place in the park of Villa Toscana. Since 1 January 2000, the park in the landscape style of the late 19th / early 20th century by the amended Federal Monument Law under protection, as it is one of the most importante historical parks in Áustria. A controversial hotel project in planning.

Sunday, Elul 21, 5781. August 29, 2021.  Shalom! World. Turnov Jewish Cemetery. Sobotecka,  Turnov - Czech Republic.  The Jewish cemetery in Turnov dates back to the 17th century. The land for a Jewish cemetery was purchased by Albrecht of Wallenstein as early as in the 1625 and the oldest surviving tombstone goes back to 1649. During its existence, it was expanded twice. The last burial took place here in 1956. At present, there is a bridge of the motorway passing through the town in the direction of Jicin over a part of the cemetery, which was planned in the late seventies and was constructed in 1987-91. Since 1994, the cemetery has been administered by Matana, a joint-stock company founded by the Federation of Jewish Communities for the purpose of caring for real estare.  Jewish cemeteries were usually located on slopes or otherwise unfavourable places that the christian society had little interest in.
