Bella Vida Café.

The history of the Bella Vida Café was started in 1892. At the first time, a new apartment building was built as part of a block of buildings in the Lesser Qaurter, according to the architectural and construction company Jechenthal & Hnevkrovsky. Successful entrepreneur Jindrich Jechental then gradually built five more houses.


The Kampa Island itself is, however, much older. As early as the 10th century, the early medieval village of Ujezd began to form under the Petrin Hill near the Vltava River.


In the middle of the 19th century, this romantic corner of the Malá Strana Industrial Revolution also hit. The building plots, especially those near the Vltava shores only connected the Charles Bridge. In 1839, however, the construction of a chain bridge was consecrated. The simple and primitive ferry was replaced by the second Prague bridge.  In connection with the construction of this - nowadays stone legion of the Legion - here gradually emerged the embankment, the bank  increased, the staircase construction and the construction of new blocks of houses.


The nature of the place was made up of gardens by the river and numerous mills. Historically, palaces and gardens of prominent noble families, such as Liechtenstein acquired a new sophistication and nobleness, which are well visible today.


The place is fantastic with a balance between a confortable space with a intectual atmosphere. The café cames from Brazil, Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza João Hamilton Espresso. The farm is a model example of how to cultivate and process selective coffe in Brazil in a environmentally friendly way and moreover, to have a cost-effective business.


My suggestion is to enjoy the soup too. Don't make a quickly visit, give yourself a time to enjoy the taste, the service, and the fantastic view of Praha.

Sunday, Elul 21, 5781. August 29, 2021.  Shalom! World. Turnov Jewish Cemetery. Sobotecka,  Turnov - Czech Republic.  The Jewish cemetery in Turnov dates back to the 17th century. The land for a Jewish cemetery was purchased by Albrecht of Wallenstein as early as in the 1625 and the oldest surviving tombstone goes back to 1649. During its existence, it was expanded twice. The last burial took place here in 1956. At present, there is a bridge of the motorway passing through the town in the direction of Jicin over a part of the cemetery, which was planned in the late seventies and was constructed in 1987-91. Since 1994, the cemetery has been administered by Matana, a joint-stock company founded by the Federation of Jewish Communities for the purpose of caring for real estare.  Jewish cemeteries were usually located on slopes or otherwise unfavourable places that the christian society had little interest in.
