Librairie Galignani is the oldest English bookshop on the Europe, and according to many, it also happens to be the most elegant bookstore in the city of Paris. This independent bookstore has been run by six generations of the Galignani family and it has been a landmark for all the English-seeking Parisians and vsitors of the city since 1801. In 1856, it has moves to rue de Rivli 224., where it still stands underneath the massive arcade.

The Librairie Galignani is a classic space that reunited a large options of themes in french english languages inside the world's of beaux-arts. Located in the center of the International Street - Rivoli - Paris culture point.




Most importantly, the aspectof this bookstore that hasn't changed in over two centuries and which is also responsible for its great reputation, is its high quality stock. The dark wooden shelves manufactured in the 1930's hold an impressive collection of about 50 thousand titles.

Sunday, Elul 21, 5781. August 29, 2021.  Shalom! World. Turnov Jewish Cemetery. Sobotecka,  Turnov - Czech Republic.  The Jewish cemetery in Turnov dates back to the 17th century. The land for a Jewish cemetery was purchased by Albrecht of Wallenstein as early as in the 1625 and the oldest surviving tombstone goes back to 1649. During its existence, it was expanded twice. The last burial took place here in 1956. At present, there is a bridge of the motorway passing through the town in the direction of Jicin over a part of the cemetery, which was planned in the late seventies and was constructed in 1987-91. Since 1994, the cemetery has been administered by Matana, a joint-stock company founded by the Federation of Jewish Communities for the purpose of caring for real estare.  Jewish cemeteries were usually located on slopes or otherwise unfavourable places that the christian society had little interest in.
