Merci is a high end concept store with the USP that all their profits are given to charaty note that i did not say charity shop. I sometimes wonder if i am not very clear when speaking French as i explained the USP to a friend and the following week she said she visited that shopand that clearly i did't understand the concept of a charity shop. Of course it's nota charity shop everything in it is brand newand every single piece expertly chosen but then you wouldn't expect anything less from the woman who created the children's cloths that cost the same price a return Eurostar ticket! After grazing for a while in Merci and in need of a pit stop, since Marais to enjoy a warm coffee, with used books.
If you want to get a vibe on what it's like to be young and cool in Paris, Merci is the place to do it. This is a coffee shop, restaurant, clothing store, used books, and it's basically filled with good-looking people and good-looking French dogs. It's the perfect spot to hang on a laid back afternoon and people watch with a bottle of wine.
