JACOB JR, MY JEWISH WORLD. THE LONGEST WOODEN PIER IN EUROPE. SOPOT - POLAND.

Tuesday, Cheshvan 14, 5780. November 12, 2019.

Shalom! World.

Sopot - Poland.

The longest wooden pier in Europe steetches out into the sea for over 511 metres. Built initially as a wooden jetty in the 1820s, since it  early days it has remained a Sopot icon. It is a place for leisurely healthful strolls (the iodine concentration at the end of the pier is twice as high as on land). It is also perfect spot for watching the sailing events on the bay waters. At the foot of the pier, in Plac Zdrojowy square, there is an ice rink open in winter.

Please, take care about the shoes that you will you use during the winter times, 'cause happens many accidents.

Shalom! Aleichem.
